Bruce Dean Murphy passed away on Sept. 1, 2013 after a 2 year battle with lung cancer.  It was a heroic fight and we really thought Bruce would win.  Bruce was a wonderful husband to Kerri for almost 35 years, son to Dean and the late Dolores Murphy, brother to Liz Moore, uncle to Rachel and Alex Black, and friend to so many.  Born in St. Joseph, Mo, he grew up in Merriam, KS,  He played most sports well but loved golf the most.  He graduated from SM North High School in 1975.  He worked as a manager for K-mart, Wilson Foods, Doskocil Foods, Food Brands, and for Tyson Foods as a Warehouse/Operations Manager.  His last position was as the Manager of Warehousing and Distribution for Windsor Foods in Ontario, CA.  We will all miss his sweet spirit, sense of humor, strength, and unyielding loyalty.  Ini lieu of plants or flowers, it is requested that donations be made to the Dignity Group, 1055 N Euclid Ave, Ontario, CA 97162.  A Celebration of Life is planned for Sept 26th at LIons Gate Golf Club, 14225 Dearborn St., Overland Park, KS 66223.
