Susan Barker, 30, Olathe, died Feb. 22, 1988 at the University of Kansas Medical Center.  Mrs. Barker was a lifelong area resident.  Survivors include her husband, Rex Barker, a son, Scott Barker, and two daughters, Holly Barker, and Jessica Harp, all of the home; her parents, Robert Shumate, Lebanon, MO, and Julia Carson, Kansas City,; a brother, Robert W. Shumate, Olathe, and three sisters, Chris Williams, Burke, VA, Barbara Armstrong, Kansas City, KS and Karen Cox, Kansas City.  Services will be at 2 pm Wednesday at Newcomer's Overland Park Chapel; burial in Johnson County Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
