Patrick O'Connell died in a two-car crash near LaCygne, KS on July 3, 1976.  He was born in Kansas City and had lived here all his life.  He graduated this year from Shawnee Mission North High School.  He was a member of Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Overland Park.  He leaves his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John A. O'Connell, Jr. and six sisters, Miss Helen O'Connell, Miss Janet O'Connell, and Miss Anne O'Connell all of the home and Mrs. Mary Anne Funke, Grandview and Mrs. Peggy Smith, Lawrence, and Miss Rita O'Connell, Shawnee. Burial in Resurrection Cemetery in Lenexa.
