I went to Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado and stayed. I studied business and Durango History. Through college I worked as a waitress at Panhandler Pie shop, taught skiing and spent my summers as a raft guide throughout Colorado, Utah and New Mexico. My main careers were teaching Jazzercise in the 80's. It was very popular as Durango did not have many fitness opportunities. Then in 1994 I became a full time real estate agent. I have loved raising my children, Nick and Sarah in Durango. I have enjoyed being part of my community and making a difference helping people buy and sell their homes. I'm still selling although on a smaller scale. I moved to a golf course community north of Durango as it is the most 55+ neighborhood we have without moving to Arizona! I live 15 minutes from Purgatory ski area and ski 3-4 times a week through the winter. Which includes being part of the "mug club" at the bar. I started a Hand and Foot Canasta group, because I loved played it in Kansas City. We have about 30 women who play every Tuesday. Also play coed Euchre and Cribbage. So fun. My Christian faith is important to me. I lead BSF Bible Study Fellowship to women and to my grand girls, Wren and Rae. My favorite students! They are biblically literate as we have been studying since they were 4. I'm active in my church with our women's group and in a life group. Life has had it's ups and downs with divorce, heartbreak, great joy and lots of laughing. I have been blessed to be friends with Shawnee Mission North High School buddies, and still get together at least once a year and a lively text stream that keeps us close. Can't wait to see you all in September!!
